From the Molly Bears Website:
Here is the story of Molly Christine:
I was given a weighted teddy bear from a dear friend from high school. This bear weighed three pounds. In an effort to have a bear that weighed the same as Molly, I bought a shell and a package of rice. In the middle of the produce isle, I carefully weighed rice, fluff and the shell. I am sure people thought I was crazy, but I did not care. I went home and with my children and husband, we created the very first Molly Bear. For the first time in weeks, I was able to sleep holding her. It was then that I knew I had to find a way to help other angel families.

The reason why I will be donating 50% of my sales is to help a wonderful college friend. Here is her story below. If you wish to donate your own money so you can help her receive a Molly Bear (as well as 9 others) please click the image below.
On November 8th, 2013 Aaron and I learned that our sweet baby Geno Anthony had no heartbeat at 35 weeks. We were devastated and immediately went to the hospital. I was induced at 4:00pm on the 8th, and after 30 hours of labor gave birth to our sleeping baby. Geno was born at 9:56pm on November 9th. He was 5lbs and 5 ounces and 19.5 inches long. After his birth we learned that he had passed because his cord was tightly knotted and wrapped twice around his neck. He was a beautiful baby and we were lucky to spend a few hours with him.
After Geno's death a friend of ours informed us of this wonderful non- profit called Molly Bears, which helps grieving families with infant loss. They provide bears that are weighted to the weight of the family's baby when they passed. There are thousands of people waiting to fill their empty arms with a Molly bear to help fill the void of loosing their child. Please help us raise 450 dollars to pay for these bears and help fill the empty arms! The turn around rate to receive a bear is currently 16- 20 months. If we raise 450 dollars we will not only have enough money to cover the cost of 10 bears, but they will bump up our Geno bear up the list and we will receive him faster! Please help fill our empty arms and the arms of 9 other families!
Since August of 2010, Molly Bears has filled the arms of over 3,300 families. With your support, we can continue to advance our mission. For more information, please visit the website.
